Hydroseeding
The fast, even way to green a big yard.
For large areas and slopes, hydroseeding fills in thick and even at a fraction of the cost of sod, with strong roots and real erosion control where bare soil would wash away.
What it is
Even coverage over ground that seed alone can't hold
Hydroseeding sprays a slurry of seed, mulch, and nutrients over prepared soil in one pass. The mulch holds moisture against the seed and clings to the ground, so it germinates fast and evenly, even on grades where loose seed would just wash downhill in the first rain.
It's the right tool for larger lawns, new construction, and slopes. You get a uniform stand of grass without the seams and cost of sod, and because the mix locks the soil in place, it doubles as erosion control on the parts of your property that need it most.
- Fast, even germination across the whole area
- Strong erosion control on slopes and grades
- Lower cost than sod for large lawns
- Soil prep and grading done before we spray
- A clear watering plan to get it established

Getting it established
The first few weeks are everything
A hydroseeded lawn comes in fast, but only if it stays watered through germination. We set you up with a simple schedule for the first few weeks so the seed never dries out during the window that matters, then tapers off as the lawn roots and thickens.
We're honest about the trade-off: sod gives you an instant lawn, hydroseed gives you a better lawn for less over a large area, with a short bare-dirt stage while it fills in. For most big yards and new builds, that trade is well worth it, and we'll tell you if your project is one of the times it isn't.

Hydroseeding questions we hear a lot
A few of the things homeowners ask before hydroseeding.
How long until I have a lawn?
You'll usually see green in one to two weeks, with the lawn filling in over the following few weeks. Keeping it watered during that window is the single biggest factor in how fast and thick it comes in.
Is hydroseed cheaper than sod?
For larger areas, yes, often significantly. Sod costs more but gives you an instant lawn. Hydroseed covers big spaces and slopes evenly for less, with a short wait while it establishes.
Does it work on slopes?
That's one of its strengths. The mulch in the mix clings to the grade and holds the soil in place, so it germinates evenly and controls erosion where loose seed would wash away.
How often do I need to water it?
Lightly and often at first, so the seed never dries out. We give you a specific schedule for your property and adjust it for the weather. Once it's established, you water it like any other lawn.
How do I get a quote?
Request a consultation and we'll set up an on-site visit. We measure the area, check the grade and soil, and give you a written price. No pressure and no email required.
