What we do

Light for paths, trees and patios

Good landscape lighting is something you feel more than notice. Done right, it makes a walkway safe to travel, draws the eye to a specimen tree or the stonework on the house, and turns a patio into a place you actually use on a summer evening. Done wrong, it's a row of harsh fixtures glaring back at you.

We design the lighting around how you move through and look at the property, then install a low-voltage LED system built to last: quality fixtures, buried runs, a transformer sized right, and a timer or app control so it comes on by itself at dusk. Path and step lights for safety, uplighting for trees and facades, and soft washes for patios and walls.

  • Path, step, and entry lighting for safety
  • Uplighting for trees, facades, and features
  • Patio, wall, and seating-area lighting
  • Low-voltage LED, timers, and app or dusk control
  • Quality fixtures with buried, tidy wiring

Wiring planned while the patio is open

Lighting is at its best when it's designed alongside the hardscape and plantings rather than retrofitted later. When lighting is part of a patio or planting project, we can run the wiring while the patio is open, place fixtures to graze a wall or catch a tree we just planted, and set zones that match how you use each area.

If your hardscape is already in, we still make it clean, planning runs to stay hidden and sizing the system so you can add to it down the road. Either way it's one crew that stands behind the work.

  • Wiring planned with hardscape and plantings
  • Zones for patios, paths, and features
  • Room to expand the system later

Good to know

Landscape lighting questions we hear a lot

A few of the things homeowners ask before a lighting project.

What affects the price?

Mostly the number of fixtures, how far the wiring has to run, and whether the patio or beds are already finished. We lay out the fixtures and give you a written price after the visit.

Is landscape lighting expensive to run?

Not with modern LEDs. A low-voltage LED system draws a fraction of what old halogen fixtures did, so even a full yard of lighting adds very little to your electric bill, and the bulbs last for years.

Can you add lighting to a yard that's already landscaped?

Yes. We plan the wiring runs to stay hidden through existing beds and along hardscape, so we can light an established yard cleanly without tearing it up. It's just easier and cheaper when it's designed in from the start.

What can you light?

Walkways and steps for safety, trees and the front of the house for curb appeal, and patios, walls, and seating areas so the space is usable at night. We design the mix around your property.

Does it come on by itself?

Yes. We set it on a timer, a dusk-to-dawn sensor, or an app so you don't have to think about it. You can also set different zones to come on at different times.

How do I get started?

Request a consultation and we'll set up an on-site visit. We talk through where you want light and how you use the space after dark. We put together a design and a written price.
