What we build

A kitchen and a fire, built to live outside

An outdoor kitchen is only as good as how it's built to take the weather. We build stone and masonry islands with built-in grills, counters, bars, and storage, sized around how you actually cook and entertain, and detailed to hold up to New England summers and winters.

Fire is usually part of the same conversation. Whether it's a simple gathering fire pit or a full outdoor fireplace, we build it into the space so the seating, the patio, and the fire all work together.

  • Built-in grills, counters, bars, and storage
  • Natural stone and masonry islands
  • Fire pits, fire features, and fireplaces
  • Seating and gathering space designed in
  • Gas and utility runs planned from the start

Built into the design

Planned with the patio from the start

The best outdoor kitchens and fire features are planned with the patio, not added later. When the kitchen is planned with the patio, the gas and electrical lines can run while the patio is open, and we can set the island where the smoke and traffic make sense, and match the stone to the rest of the hardscape.

One plan, one company managing the build. You approve the layout and a written price, and we build the finished space so it looks intentional from day one.

  • Utilities run while the patio is open
  • Stone matched to the rest of the hardscape
  • Plantings and lighting to finish the space

Good to know

Outdoor kitchen questions we hear a lot

A few of the things homeowners ask before building one.

What affects the price?

Mostly the size of the kitchen or fire feature, the stone and finishes, the appliances, and whether gas and electrical lines need to run. You get a design and written price once we know how you want to cook and gather.

Can you build the kitchen and the patio together?

Yes, and it's the best way to do it. When we design and build both, we can run the gas and electric while the patio is open and place the island where it makes sense, instead of retrofitting it later.

Gas or charcoal, and can you run a gas line?

Most built-ins are gas for convenience, and we plan the gas run into the build. We'll talk through your options on the visit and coordinate the hookup with a licensed gas fitter.

What about a fire pit versus a fireplace?

A fire pit is open and social, a fireplace is more of a focal point and blocks wind. We'll help you pick based on how you'll use the space and build it into the design either way.

Will it hold up to our winters?

When it's built right, yes. We use materials and construction methods meant for the New England freeze-thaw, on a proper base, so the island and fire feature don't crack or shift over the years.

How do I get started?

Request a consultation and we'll set up an on-site visit. We look at the space, talk through how you cook and entertain, and put together a design and written price.
