Pool Decks & Poolscapes
A pool surround that's safe underfoot and built to last.
Paver and natural stone pool decks designed for how you use the space, with slip-resistant, cool-underfoot surfaces, proper drainage, and the plantings and lighting that turn a pool into a poolscape.
What we build
The surface around the pool is the part you feel
A pool deck takes more abuse than almost any surface in the yard, bare feet, sunscreen, splashing, chlorine, and a hard freeze every winter. So the material and the base matter even more here than on a regular patio. We build pool decks in pavers and natural stone chosen to stay comfortable underfoot and hold their footing when wet.
Underneath, we build it right: a compacted base at the correct depth, slope and drainage that carry water away from the pool and the house, and proper coping at the pool's edge. The result is a deck that stays flat, drains clean, and looks like it belongs with the house.
- Paver and natural stone pool decks
- Slip-resistant, cool-underfoot surfaces
- Coping and clean edges at the pool
- Grading and drainage away from the pool
- New pools or replacing a tired deck

The whole poolscape
The deck is just where it starts
A pool deck is often one part of a larger poolscape. When the deck is part of a bigger project, we can wrap the pool with plantings for privacy and shade, add a patio or fire feature off to one side, and light the space so it's usable into the evening.
It stays one crew and one plan, so the deck, the grading, the plantings, and the lighting are designed to work together, and built in the right order.
- Privacy plantings and poolside beds
- Adjacent patios, fire features, and seating
- Landscape lighting for evening use

Pool deck questions we hear a lot
A few of the things homeowners ask before a pool deck project.
What affects the price?
Mostly the deck size, the paver or stone you choose, the condition of the base, and whether the coping or an old deck has to come out. We check the existing deck and base on the visit, then send a written price.
What's the best material for a pool deck?
Pavers and natural stone both work well when chosen for the job, meaning a surface that stays comfortable underfoot in the sun and grips when it's wet. We'll show you options that suit your pool, your home, and your budget on the visit.
Can you replace the deck around an existing pool?
Yes. We also replace cracked or dated decks around existing pools. We can work around the pool and coping to give you a new, safe surface. If the coping needs replacing too, we cover that on the visit.
Will the deck get too hot to walk on?
That's exactly why material choice matters. We steer you toward pavers and stone that stay cooler in direct sun than a dark slab, so the deck is comfortable on bare feet all summer.
Do you handle drainage around the pool?
Yes, and it's critical. We slope the deck and build in drainage so water runs away from the pool and the house instead of pooling on the surface or undermining the base.
How do I get started?
Request a consultation and we'll set up an on-site visit. We look at the pool and the space, talk through how you want to use it, and put together a design and written price.
